Meeting with the Mayor
One of our directors, Lloyd Priddle, was fortunate to have a meeting with Mayor Margaret Strelow today in recognition of years of service to the Rockhampton Enterprise Centre. The Rockhampton Enterprise Centre is an incorporated community based not-for-profit organisation managed by a board of directors, that will officially close on 30 June 2015 after more than 20 years of service to the local community.
The Rockhampton Enterprise Centre is a ‘Business Enterprise Centre’ (BEC) and provides free, confidential and professional advice to people thinking of starting or who are currently operating a small business
It was established in 1993 as a business incubator, supporting new enterprises and ensuring business success within Rockhampton and the surrounding regional centres. From an original scope of the Fitzroy Statistical Division catchment, their area of operation grew to incorporate the Rockhampton Regional Council and Banana Shire Council service areas.
Over the years the Rockhampton Enterprise Centre has helped hundreds of small businesses by providing affordable premises, assistance and support to new and existing businesses.
